installing a new reactor

So i just got a new brs reactor that I am going to run carbon up to and gfo below. I wanted two separate reactors, but I just cannot cram anything else into that sump. I have never run carbon or gfo in a reactor before so do I need to do any kind of rinsing with carbon and gfo or do i put in the proper amount and run the reactor in my system? i would think that I need to rinse the carbon but what do I know.

BRS has instructions that you should use. If they were not in box, you can down load from their website. Need to start slow with GFO or you will have issues.
