Introduction

Hello

My name is Tyson Griffin. I just registered for use of the ARC forum. I will be moving to the Atlanta area for a new job in the coming months. I am moving from Southaven, MS (just south of Memphis). I currently have a 60 gal corner softy tank. I am in the process of trying to sell it so I won't be forced with trying to move it. Once we buy a house and get settled in I plan on starting another tank. This time a 150 cube (36x36x27) and mainly SPS.

I have been coming to Atlanta a lot lately and would like some recommendations on some LFS's that I might be able to visit.

BTW....Any suggestions on areas to look at buying in would be greatly appreciated. I'll be working at the Peachtree-Dekalb Airport probably 2-3 days a week so a daily commute to Atlanta won't be necessary. I have two very young children so schools are very important as well.

Go see Keen Reef, Atlanta Reef, Creation Reef just to name a few. I have not had a chance to get to Imagine Ocean, and many others so my list of go sees is pretty long. All the stores listed are sponsors of the ARC and their info can be found in the Sponsor Forum. As far as schools and areas of town to live in, you are on your own. I live in Paulding which is great but it is a long way to Peachtree Dekalb Airport from there, so I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Welcome to ARC. Their are some good stores around PDK Atlanta reef, keen reef, einstins, and warehouse aquariums.

I'd sugest getting a membership sponsors give at 10% discount.

If I were rich I'd pick me a little nice spread 500-800 acres and fish and hunt everyday. BUT......I'm not, so I would like something in an area where it is safe because my job requires me to travel all the time. Schools are very important. I'd like to keep the drive 20-45 min to the pdk airport under normal traffic. 4 bd/2bth under 225k. I don't like houses stacked on top of one another. I'm hoping to take advantage of the bad housing market. I'm open to any sugggestions.
