God evening everybody, I hope all is doing well. I have a question pertaining to qt'ing cuc. Im getting ready to order some fighting coach's and a few banded trochus snails. Should I qt them and how would I go about qt'ing them. Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't think anyone Qts CuC. I never have.

Very few people QT their CUC. However, if you’re being really diligent to make sure that no pests get in, you probably should. It’s very easy for pests to sneak in this way.

Also, be wary of housing multiple fighting conchs together. I don’t recall perfectly, but I think I remember that the males are very territorial towards each other (I.e., 1 per tank).

Thank you guys.

@ActiveAngel you are correct about the males being territorial against one another. But will only 1 be enough for a 6ft tank? Should I risk order a few and hoping for only one Male, or shiuld I only order one?

Enough for what? I think 1 is fine for a 6 foot tank

I wouldn't do two in less than a 6x2 footprint.
I kept 2 in my 210 for well over a year and they were both still doing fine when I took the system down. I have no Idea what sex they were though.

I'm planning on doing a 21-day QT for cleaner shrimp (or less if it molts), a conch, and a couple additional snails in a few months. No more bad guise in my tank.
