Is it more important to have a stable pH or have your pH at 8.3-8.4? My calcium reactor keeps my pH at 8.15-8.2 regardless of how much buffer I add. Is this okay? I know a stable environment is best for livestock but just like to get people's input.

Thanks,

Eddie

Would thing 8.2 stable would be better than chasing a number...but I am also interested in the response from non noobs here :)

+8 is golden IMHO.

Heck, anything steady above 7.5 and I'd be satisfied. Right now I run around 8.2, but I've had numbers below 8 for over a year without any issues.

Te ph in my 93 goes from 7.86-7.96. Stability is more important in my opinion.

I have never been able to get mine above 8 but everything does great in my tank as far as I can tell.
