Can zooxanthellae algae in soft coral jump to another coral like the one there inhabiting.

I ask because I have 2 toadstool leathers one is tan flesh and matching polyps the other greenish flesh on the cap and neon green polyps.
After 6 months the fleshy colored one has now 10-15 polyps in a cluster together around the outer edge with neon green heads now .
 
Some are not extended ATM , but you can see a few around the border of the ear the area pulled in , I'll try for another pic tomorrow when there open if I have a chance.

Yes it's possible. I haven't really seen it in softies, but I've seen it quite a bit in LPS - specifically Euphyllia sp. (Torches, hammer, frogspawn). Several different morphs, housed together for an extended period of time, all take on the same colour.

Keep growing it. Outside of being nice looking, Morphs like that have monetary value, even in a leather.
 
Thankyou all for the input I hope it continues to grow the green in it.
Here is a little better picture but its still hard to distinguish. I wish I could get a good photo under the blue light but that proves nearly impossible for me under led's.
