OK cool. It just looked completely different. Thanks! My mushroom corals self populate by stretching their foot and moving, leaving behind a small fragment that develops into a new mushroom. My larger mushrooms grow quite big and fold on themselves, but I have never seen them split when they are stretching opening and folding. For me it happens only when the foot is pulled thin enough to leave a piece behind, unless of course I’m fragging .
So they just walk off and find a new home? That’s coolLooks like it's splitting to me soon you will have two Discusoma walk and leave a foot Rhodactis split in the middle

You can also look at the mouth and see if there are two mouths - I can’t tell in the photo. You can also look at the foot and see if it is stretching or pulling apart- just gently inspect. Eventually, you will see it happens enough times to know when it is naturally splitting- which they usually do quite a bit.
it must be. It’s almost double when I got it and looks like it’s dividing along that seamYou can also look at the mouth and see if there are two mouths - I can’t tell in the photo.
