out of no where tonight the pump in my 12g nano started making this hideous screeching noise so I turned it off unplugged it took it to the sink and filled the sink with water to test it. I plug it up it runs fine for a few minutes then goes back to making the screeching noise.. I took the pump apart and slid the outer vent cover off cleaned out the built up gunk. Then I ran hot water through it to remove even more gunk. Tested it seemed to work fine, seemed like I got all the gunk out of it. I checked the wheel with the propeller on it and it seems in good shape. I put it back in the tank and about 15 minutes later the same screeching noise. I unplug the tank turn it back on and it goes back to working fine.
What do you guys think is it time to replace my pump?
