Is Superglue Safe?

I made a filter sock holder to hang on the side of my sump. I put it together using superglue. I was wondering what would happen if a piece of the superglue broke off and fell into the sump without me knowing? Would it kill everything? The filter sock holder will be above the water line.

Cyanoacrylate (super glue) is 100% safe and also used as a water proof bandage. I've used super glue to hold several cuts together on the job.

As already mentioned, superglue is perfectly safe for use in our aquariums. What I'd be interested in is the longevity of the bond between glue on that plexiglass, particularly under the constant strain of the water going through that sock. Please keep us posted...

We'll see how long it lasts. I wont have the tank up and running for a few more weeks though.

I would have liked to use weld-on #4 because someone said it "welds" the two pieces together vice an adhesive like superglue.

I have several "extra" pieces of acrylic left over from a measuring error when putting my sump together. So I might make the next one with the weld-on.
