Is this a clam?

I know its a bivalve but don't know if its a clam, scallop, mussel..I've a few growing, just curious as to what they actually are. They have that weird "foot" that attaches behind or beside them to the rock.

Yes it is. I've got a few in the tank too. Nice little additions. I don't know what kind or type but they're pretty cool. You can move them and they'll put out tendrils wherever they land.

+1 I've had a few of them for a few years now. They actually spawned in my tank and I had one reach a dime size before dying once.. They never get larger than the size of a quarter in my experience.
