I see what may be an egg sack in my reef tank. It occurs once a month at minimum. See attached. I am going to assume that it's not from any of the corals (LPS and SPS).

Fish are Tangs, Wrasse, Angel, Anthias, Goby, Velvet Damsels

Inverts: Pistol Shrimp, Pepermint Shrimp, Crabs and Snails of all varieties, Mini Stars, Brittle Star

If it may be corals there is a laundry list. Will provide if requested.

Wouldn't that be green? Have seen any bubble algae in my tank. It has more of a tissue texture to it. The fish and crabs have already devoured it. Haven't fed them yet. Guess they're ready.

Not if it's been popped for a while. If the fish are interested in eating it, I doubt that's what it is anyway.

It's size is somewhere between a Nickel and a Quarter. Its translucent in some areas and became web - like when the fish and crabs began to eat it. Like spider web.

I saw this in sci-fi flick, something evil hatched in your tank.

Hurry you don't have much time, if you can seal up the top of your tank then do so right away. If you see a puddle of water next to your tank its too late, its already crawled out...grab you kids, wife and other pets and GET OUT! No telling how quick this think is going to grow.

Some small wrasses like a 6 line secretes a new mucus sack to sleep in every night. What kind of wrasses do you have?:D

Lol, I've seen that one!
I think Dave is right, head for the hills.
Lmao!

Crazy!
I've got several wrasse but never seen a "bubble sake".
Mines a lot of stringy, clouds like, kinda of mucus puddles floating etc.
Nice job Holley. Very interesting!

Looks like a burst Valonia to me (bubble algae). Did you notice a large bubble of it in that spot at any time?

Have you taken it out and examined it?
