I got these today, I need to know if this is ok till I get some glue or epoxy. I have them fastened to the rock loosely with rubber bands. The large on is a toadstool (The Beast) my sister named him, and the other is cabbage coral.

Your pictures are to small for me to tell, but if the toadstool is already attached to a small rock you can use epoxy to get it to stick where you want it, if it is not attached to a small rock already just leave it rubberband to the rock, it will eventually attach itself. When I changed aquariums, I had to pull my toadstool of the rock it was on, cause I wasn't keepinging it, and I just used a rubberband and attached it to the new rock for a few weeks and it attached itself. I can't speak for the cabbage as I have never had one.

Edit:Sorry, read you post wrong. You were just asking if it will be ok like this until you get epoxy. It should be fine just make sure the rubberband is not to tight, if so when the toadstool tries to expand the rubberband will cut into it if left like that to long. I know because the rubberband did cut into mine some, but didn't cause major damage, just some damage to the tissue right where the rubberband was at, and it just eventually fell off.

This morning when I got up I went in ti check on my little friend. Due to the current he was being pulled tight against the loosely wrapped rubber band, His poor little body was being suffocated. I removed the rubber band and within an hour he was opened up. I have him in there resting on a rock and I will glue it down when I get home tonight. I'm on my phone but I will try to added pictures.

After being in the tank over night The Beast has started to open up.

Edit: Anyone know what the brown bugs are on it? I didn't notice them before because it was all closed up. If there bad is there a shrimp that will eat them?

Looks like flat worms on it. No good, if they are flat, pinkish, and have like a slit down the center they are flat worms and I would either get a fish to take care of them right away or treat it...

OMG They are FW! How can I get rid of them without killing any inverts? This makes me sad...

It is kind of ok but still need to get them out asap as they are serious pests if they get out of control. I'm not sure where you bought it from but if it is from a lfs I would seriously let them know and let them pay for the fix if they can. There are some wrasses and inverts that are supposed to eat them but have found that unless you cut feeding way back they will not gain an appetite for them. In the past I had to do use "flatworm exit" to kill them off and then siphon their dead leftovers out of the tank as to not "spike" the tank and kill everything. If I were you I would do some research online and if still needed post a new thread and get others responses on these pests... Too bad you aren't closer or I would help...

The guy gave me these corals for free. I hope he doesn't get offended when I tell him the bugs came from his tank. Honestly I dont know how he didnt know, when that toadstool opened up there were so many he had to know. I'm going to get lots of water prepped for water changes and get some flatworm exit. Hope everyone in my tank makes it through this.

Might be why they were free!! Hope it wasn't a friend

Edit: Pull the corals out and dip the heck out of them. Add a melanarus wrasse to help control the worms if any made it off of the corals.

Edit: Treating the tank with a product that kills them will require you to remove the decaying bodies. If you use biological methods, you will have less work and a lower impact that you will have to deal with.
