Is it worse at night than in the morning? Dead give away if its cyno..

Is it mucus like?

Manual removal by vacuuming looks like the best possible first response, testing parameters and for phosphates later......

it is worse at night (pic was before lights on) and mucus like. I will be changing GFO in reactor tomorrow and changed purigen today. Water change is coming up on Sat.

did the purigen turn a similar to the algae?

Mine does with red cyno out breaks......

I'm not sure what type of lighting you have, but when my bulbs get old and start to shift spectrum, i get outbreaks. I change the bulbs and it's gone in a week.. just my.02

Purigen was a little green and my lighting is LED.
