Well, I have added the first few corals to my tank. I got a variety, but mostly frag sizes given that I am new to this. My stock list is (remember Keen and Petland had big sales ;> ):
- Radiating Mushroom (1) on a rock
- Speckled Mushroom (~6) on a rock
- Frogspawn (branching kind) with 2 quarter sized heads and about 4 more starting to grow
- ORA Pink Hammer about 50 cent piece sized
- Bi-color Ricordia (1) about quarter sized
- Purple chalice frag (1) about quarter sized
- Acan frag (1) with 3 small heads
- Green tip polyp frag (1) with about 8 small heads
I got everything over the weekend so it has been in the tank for ~2-3 days. Everything looks good so far. The Acan looked a little shriviled in its initial location so I moved it, so we'll see how that works.
So, now what? What are the immediate things I should take care of? Any special feeding instructions/techniques/schedules/foods/vitamin solutions that folks can share? Where can I find a good primer on how to properly maintain/grow these?
I am already excited to have some new additions to the tank. And even the small bits of color and movement are great.
Thanks, as always, for your insight.
