I'll start off by introducing myself. I am in the Athens area and have been keeping saltwater tanks for 15+ years. I am fairly new to ARC although I have been lurking for sometime. I have enjoyed getting to know others in the area with similar interest so figured I would post out a thread on my latest project. In the past I have had a 20L, 46 bow front, 54 corner, 60, 75 and a few nano AIO. Over the years I have been more obsessed with setups and continual change but latest project I am hoping is the beginning of a steady reef system that incorporates all that I know into a simple to maintain system. This will be the 'biggest' tank I have setup to date and don't think I will have an appetite for bigger.

This will be a 180 reef build with a standard 6x2x2 footprint reef ready glass tank. Having the 2 foot depth and 6 foot length I am looking to replicate the lagoon and back reef zones of a reef. I would have liked to have stuck with a biotope focus from the Carribean / Atlantic but many of the corals and fish I have are from years in the hobby and would hate to see them go. Ex: my maroon clown is over 15 years old and from one of my first tanks.

Ok.. enough talking here are some pictures

Here is the setup when I first acquired it.

I originally did some repairs to the bottom of the stand because it had some holes for other project intentions from previous owner. On s the bottom was repaired. I then sealed the bottom using silicone and bar glazing to create a waterproof stand bottom.

After a few weeks and convincing family to help with the move...tank and stand were placed inside. The tank will go where I previously had my 60 & 75 in my living room.

Now on to the fun stuff..after I broke down my existing tanks I moved everything into 2 60 gallon tanks for temporary holding..
