I'm confused as to why you are covering the back at all? Whats the intention? Also, it would depend on how it's being set up in the house i'd think, but there is the possibility of doing a two face sorta style with the top one, where you could almost theme one side a different way than another. Might be some fun potential in that

i will be using a hob and want to hide it..

and i also can sit it up either way...
 
You can git a plastic cover from brs and silicone to hide the filters inlet .look in to a rapids pro mini its a small hob canister filter with 4 compartments so you can run the media's you won't I have one running on my 20gal softie tank for about a year now with out eny issues got it from fosters and smith for $30

not inside he tank im talking about the out side of the hob
