So what made you get into chalices so much? I wouldn't be able to stand the waiting period!!!

BTW rick, scary clowns creep me out beyond belief

What's with the scary clown stuff? It's not nice to make fun of people. All he needs is a little tan to go with his new haircut. Don't take it to heart, buddy. I'm not making fun of you. :lol2:

You know, I hadnt really thought about it too much, but I guess there are two things that drew me to SPS, then to chalices. I like to watch a lot of things grow, and SPS corals were considered harder to keep, so that challenge drew me as well.

SPS frags were kind of a natural for me because you can get a lot of them in a tank, and chalice frags were the same thing. I have never been one to buy large colonies of anything. And unfortunately, some of the most colorful SPS corals were the supposed LE varieties, so that is how I got started down that path. Same for the colorful chalices.

Softies and many LPS corals get way big way fast, but SPS and Chalice corals grow slow, and I think that is one thing I liked about them as well. I
only own two softie corals.

The only other evil clown I am aware of is Bobo from SyFy's "Tripping the Rift."

Don't forget the movie Killer Clowns from Outer Space, and also don't forget a real sick evil clown.. "Pogo the Clown" who was also John Wayne Gacy.

Awesome looking chalices man, where do you live again? :D

Those are awesome Dave!

I hope that they'll quickly grow out for you. I enjoyed seeing your setup earlier this week.

BTW, the little plate is happy. Thanks!

Truly breathtaking. I wish you the best. Hopefully you can make a pretty penny on that thing in the future!

I have a large colony of Palau Green Nepthea and large colony of Tyree Green Toadstool.

I'll be fraging some of my chalices in the future. I have some nice ones that wouldn't be expensive to try. I would definitely place the disc on the rock with a goby in the tank, unless you don't mind shaking the dust off it every day.
