Keeping zoas happy

Last night while gazing into the reef (and not studying for the Chemistry test that I'm so not ready for) I noticed some zoas that seem to be disappearing and another set that I can't say that I've seen open in a couple of weeks. I've not noticed anything on them munching.

What is the recipe for happy zoas?

A slightly dirt tank. They like to have dirty water.

By dirty tank I do not mean stuff lying on the bottom, just not pristine water.

What about lighting and flow?

Sometimes zoas just melt for no reason. It really stinks when they do it too.

Maybe you should do a coral dip just in case there's something on them you can't see?
