Killing ysp and gsp will my rock survive

I NEED to get rid of a hugh rock with YSP and several smaller rocks with GSP. I have scraped them with a razor and they came back. If I take the rocks out and put boiling water over them and leave them outside for a few days can I put them back into the tank in a week or so? They are taking over everything and this morning found GSP on my Blue Tubbs.

Following along....I have a big rock that is getting covered in GSP and its my shelf rock centerpeice, I need it GSP Free!!!


I would imagine a hot water bath followed by a good bleaching followed by another bath followed by a couple weeks in a cure tub should do the trick??

Sell or give the rock to a noob and by gsp-free rock.

Yeah, but then that would take a couple weeks without your centerpeice.

I have been researching for days and no one has ever had a cure, with the exception....toss the rock and I guess that is what I am about to do. I have two zoa colonies on it that I will try to drill out and then keep them in check. Too late for my Blue Tubbs.....I'll just have to dig them out on a weekly basis. Thanks for the replies....just a little too late.

If you weren't so far id trade you dead rock for it. I love GSP

Unfortunately that is not an option since its a matching peice of shelf pukani - I wont be able to replace it and make it look right.

Trade it to your LFS for a similar sized rock.
