I recently bought a new light system that has two cords. Is there a inexpensive reccomended timer that will allow me to set up two different on off times? Ive seen a few online but not sure if they are setup to all come on at same time or not.

I'd say you need two timers if you want 2 different light cycles. There are dual timers out there but they have only one timer setting so they'd be all on, or all off.

Coralife makes a power strip with timers, but I've seen them fail too many times to recommend it. We used to carry that but I've returned so many defective that I quit stocking it.

If anybody else makes such a thing, I haven't found it (short of a digital controller).

Thanks Jenn, that was my thinking is that they would be all on, or all off.

Like Jenn said, get two individual timers.

These work fine.

ive got one that is similar to that, i was using it on my old dual lamp fixture but was trying to avoid having two big clunky timers....

Thanks for the help

HD has some that are not too big and are not too expensive (around $15 for the non-digita and a bit more for the digital). From 30 years in the electrical industry I have learned to keep it simple. Digital is subject to failure from surges and spikes from things like lightning. If go with the non-digital the only thing to fail is the motor that drives the clock or the contacts that form the switch. Digital introduces a lot of sensitive electronic parts.

I agree with simple. I run 3 cheap timers from Home Depot. All 3 on one power strip.
