large green mushroom spewing what?

I turned off my pumps today and target fed some of my corals with Reef Chili for the first time. I have a rock that is entirely covered in large green mushrooms and I found one of the smaller ones looking like it is spilling its guts. I talked it into leaving the rock and another one above it did the same thing. Anyone have any ideas? Not covered in my books.

I wouldn't sweat it, mushrooms are nearly indestructible.

Seen it many times with my mushrooms and recordias, it's a defense reaction, they will reset in awhile.

Within an hour they were back to normal. I didn't think feeding the tank would get them to spill thier guts....
