Ok guys Im looking for a Large water storage container around 200+ gallons. I allready have a 275 with a Metal cage around it,but it wont fit into my fish room.Plus at 4' square it takes up way too much room. Anyone have connections or whereabouts of a vertical water tank that would fit through a door locally? I have tried online and really dont want to spend $5-600 with shipping. I have notices TSC have something similar but they are pretty proud of theirs $$$$$$.

Im looking for something around 62"L x 29"W x 42"H or similar. Trying to stay under $300.

if you just want simply tub for water, plywood and pond linner are pretty effective.....as long as you dont want to tap the bottom for a bulkhead, then it gets iffy.

You could do two smaller containers and a shelf... maybe some of the larger garbage cans on a well braced wood shelf.

US Plastics will have what you want... the shipping charges may get you, though...

I have checked everywhere online. Too expensive once you factor in shipping. Im looking for something local in Atlanta. Tractor Supply has what I want but they are pretty pricey,so I'm basically looking for an alternative before I spend too much $$$.

Cameron,
I have thought about using two containers but they would need to be atleast 125-150 gallons each minimum. Trash cans do not fall in that category unfortunately. Plus I want something that is aesthetically pleasing as well, with gallon markings for reference.

The downfalls of having a 900 gallon system.

My original plan was to put the tank in my garage in my basement and then pump the water about 30' over to the tank. But I have since decided to just put the tank in my fish room instead. Im trying to simplify this as much as possible :)
So that means I need something that does not have as much depth to where it is taking up too much room. I would like to stay less then around 34" front to back and it has to be less then 60" tall so it will be easier to fill the with salt.. Width is not a concern.

Four trash cans would be a plumbing nightmare and would be very unsitely as well. At most I would plumb two containers together to reach the volume I am going to need on hand.

Got ya. Well those containers are about $60 each so there not much saving once you figure in the plumbing and building a stand for the top two. But I see your point. This tank is going to be for mixing/storing saltwater only. I have two containers for Fresh RO/DI allready so one container will suit me better. :)

I know a guy here in Rome that I bought a 55-gallon drum for $10; kinda drive, but beats the $80 that Home Depot charges for the same drum-

Are they brand new?

no--I washed mine out with bleach SEVERAL times-and it works fine--they do look nice (nearly new), but they had some kind of detergent in them-but with a few good bleach-rinsings, everything was fine-

how much did they what for shipping? That 250 for $290 looks like a good deal to me. I had to spend a LOT more than that for my mixing tank, but it had to fit a very tight area.
