Seriously?! Guy tries to offer a good deal for a GREAT cause and this is your response?

seriously yes!!!!, on one hand I am complimenting the guy on a good marketing scheme on the other I have been teaching scuba for 13+ years and always the complaint is "I was under the impression it only cost $250 plus the snorkle, mask, fin and boots package"
I am not knocking the guy I just through out there a simple question that should be asked by those individuals thinking of taking up the fantastic adventure called scuba.

Your comment is dog ****. First off, classifying his OFFER as a "scheme", is implying he's trying to swindle. This is a discounted offer for a service for a SUPERB cause.

Secondly, with your VAST experience in scuba training, you should realize the the discounts offer help to ease the burden if some training. Yet, instead of just saying "cool, this will help a lot of people defray the cost", you make an *** comment about expensive the whole thing is and how's he's "wrong" for not stating it? Using your logic, scuba is TOO EXPENSIVE for everyone, and no one should do it! Never mind the discount he's offered.

It's disheartening to see such a good and friendly gesture pissed on by an "arm chair vigilante" who thinks its his responsibility to take a dump on everything, rather than just see good things for what they are. It isn't noble, it's annoying and pathetic.

I'm sure this question you felt it necessary to "expose" can and would be brought up by EVERY customer than goes to a dive shop, whether they get this discount or not. You admitted as much by your own comments. So, why again did you feel it necessary to discredit someone offering a discount for a great cause?

Sorry for the tirade, Sprayin. This rubbed me WAY the wrong way.

Okay guys, so here's the deal.

This is an OFFER to try something for CHARITY. And if you wish to pursue it further, there is an associated discount.

That said, if you are interested in full certification pricing, please contact the OP via PM. Scuba, and scuba certification does have multiple expenses to it. Let's not ruin a good thing with needless banter in this thread.

And if you have an issue with my cleaning up this thread, PM me.

Thank you.

Yes, JeF4y and Jmaneypanda are right. I'm posting here on ARC trying to raise money for the Movemember effort. Here is the link if anyone is interested http://us.movember.com/">http://us.movember.com/</a> I'm part of a team on there trying to raise money for men's cancer research.

The SCUBA stuff was just a bonus for donating. I felt like giving a discount on SCUBA classes if donating and giving a chance to try SCUBA free was a good deal. If anyone has any questions please feel free to pm or post here.

Thanks
