Learned a hard lesson today

Lights come on and my female clown is missing. Found her behind the tank too late. Most likely there all night.

I have heard of some fish being "jumpers" but didn't think I needed a tank cover for just a pair of clowns. Just searched the forums here and sure enough while not common, any fish can jump.

I'll be heading to the Depot for eggcrate.

Lesson learned!

That's a real bummer. I lost three fish in one week. After the first one I bought egg crate and covered the top, after the second one I built a screen mesh cover, and after the third one I covered the holes in the euro bracing along the back of the tank.

Sorry for the loss man. I am "exposed" to the same fate my self.

I saved this thread. A great option to egg crate.

One of these days I am gonna do it!

Sorry for the loss. :(

I'm likewise at risk until I can get a net top made for my 20.

You may want to check out Basscyn's post. It offers a nice option. If you go with eggcrate, just go to home depot, Lowes or whoever and it comes in rectangular pieces for drop ceilings. Not expensive. You just need to trim it to size.
