So today has been a hell of day for me, let me start off by saying that I've had issue with keeping anenomes alive. Recently I got another nem and a elegance coral. Everything seemed fine for a week or so then I noticed the nem didn't open as big as usual and the elegance think up . Also my blue ribbon eel went missing. So I decided to add a newer skimmer readjust my water flow and I also decided to look into the bulk area where I found my blue ribbon eel and I found what is the source of my coral and nems not doing good at all. A pair of scissors somehow got down in my bulk . Of course I got them out. Lord they were rusted. I just can't believe something like that happened and even how.

I just can't believe that happened. It's definitely my fault I use scissors when I'm opening bags to drop in fish or coral. So I'm sure I left them up there and they fell in to the bulk area. That's been at least 5 months if not more I'm sure

Between water changes you can use these to help pull the metals out.

oh damn, what terrible luck. at least you found the source and now you can move forward. sucks with all the losses tho. glad you stuck it through and found the source. hopefully you have better luck going forward. but, just my experience with elegance is that they are not easy to keep. so if that goes south, maybe stay away from that one for a while?

uh-oh I just bought an elegance. It's been happy for the week I've had it. Why are they hard to keep? :X

Thank you look into tonight when I'm home. Any advice is helpful

Do a decent water change ASAP. running some carbon will help too.

Being that you're out in the middle of nowhere, LOL, I'd order some Cuprisorb because it has one day delivery with Prime.
If you don't have a reactor or a bag to hang in an overflow or sump bubble trap get a couple of these too.

Some elegance’s are easy and great- aquaculturednmainly. But vast majority look good for a few months and then just fade away :( There are some good threads online.
