Ok. I'm a noob to LED, and to reef keeping in comparison to some others here so pardon the noob question.
So, when I start to ramp up my blues, there is a point that my eye doesn't perceive any visible difference. The light is getting brighter, but around 75% it maxes out visibly.
My question is... Are we burning / bleaching our corals with blue light in the name of getting brighter colors?
We always tend to think that the white is the culprit, so we tend to ramp blue up and gradually increase white, because we see it better, but maybe we are backwards.....
Thoughts?
Oh... For kicks I'm running mine as close to what it actually looks like under water as I can. For me that is 60/60 at 19" high.
