LED light placement

Greetings. I am about to start a new build!!! As part of this, I have began to round up equipment I have received over the last three years. The tank will (Most likely) be a 30 gallon rimless shallow. I have an AI SOL led light that I would like to place above the tank. I have been made well aware as to how easy it is to burn coral and fish using these lights so I would like some help on where to place and how to control these lights. Any help would be great. I have AI SOL blues, they hang about 1 ft or so above my tank. The best thing you can do is start out at lower whites with blues around 50% and slowly work up the whites until you find a good balance that isn't bleaching corals. I've lost a few corals from bleaching, but its a learning experience. It just takes a little time to get it right. Hope this helps.
