Well I guess it ok to show off the fruit of ones' labor. I've been waiting over a year to get it setup. I acquired all the rock, fish (lost some), and inverts a year ago from a friend. I wasn't ready for the 180 to be setup so I threw everything in a 90 I had available. The 90 and 100 Rubbermaid sump became established over the year and I finally figured out where I was going to put the 180. Here you see it in its final resting place. I have nice reclining sofa I'm going to place in front of the tank and a tv to the left. I run everything off the Reeflo pump to cut down on multiple small pump which saves electricity. I ran two circuits for the tank. One for the main pump and two heaters. The second for the other heaters, lights and power heads. This way if the main pump, the heart of the system, goes out, I still have power heads and heaters going. Also I placed the receptacles up high to prevent the water getting in them. I wish I went a little higher
Here's a list of equipment:
Reeflo Hammerhead pump
2 RW8
3 Chinese dimmable LEDs
Aqua EV 400 Skimmer
2 Little Fishies canisters with Matrix
It's an extremely easy setup which I find it helps stay in the hobby. Every setup I create is to aid in my sanity for the down times in the hobby.
Future plans are to add one more light to the system so I can put the one over the sump back on the DT. I also want to add a UV and ROX 0.8. Possibly BRS two part dosing. The major upgrade is installing two 60ish gallon barrels into the system for easy water changes. I have an idea how I want to do it but stay tuned for when I open that discussion (which may create many different opinions)! But for now it's going to stay like this until I get more motivation.
