I bought a nice clam today without the knowledge that my flame tail blenny is notorious for nipping. I cut the lights a few minutes ago. My son's bearded dragon is to the left of my reef (light was still on). The leopards started swimming crazily on that side of the tank, running up and down the glass. I freaked and cut the light off to my beardies tank. I then used a small flashlight and shined it over the back compartment sandbed in my tank (my tank is BB with a sand compartment at the back). All of the leopards swam to the light and started circling in unison, then dove into the sand.
So, my thought is that they use the moonlight to find the sandy area that they dive into to sleep. It was strange....
