Exactly, the only restriction would be the internals of the chiller. I dont run a chiller but I"m sure that they have a recommended flow rate. Thats what I would use to dictate the pump I used. I would not factor in head height unless you were pumping water from a sump then returning it to the aquarium.calireefer;168798 wrote: It would work like a closed loop no? You would probably be fine with some temperature controlled fans. All the chillers I've seen are going to be annoying to listen to and will add heat to the room.
I use a Pacific Coast Imports CL450, which is a 1/6hp. I use it as a back up to my fans and it only comes on if my fans can't keep my tank below 83.
