The cement floor in my basement isn't completely level. How should I best level my stand? Just use shims? It isn't a LOT off.....

Surest way to avoid the need to shim is to have shims on hand when you set up the tank. If you don't have shims on hand it will be a 1/4" out for sure. :)

I shimmed my 120 about 1/4" - no big deal. Put the shims slightly under the tank before you fill it and you can always hammer them in farther or take them out as needed once the tank has water in it. Personally, I leveled my tank when I had about an inch of water in it. If it's level then, it will be level full.

Best bet, just add enough water to come to the top of the lower frame. It it matches all the way around it is level. If not shim before adding more water.
