leveling out a tank

My solana is not level. What is the best thing to use to put under the stand to level it out. it's on carpet. cardboard? or do they sell something at home depot?

Yea the shims at home depot are at the register with the impulse buy stuff.

I just bought shims. But what if they are too thick and I need half the width? Am I supposed to sand them down or something?

They're not wedges? I'd say sanding is gonna be the only option then.

They are like little pieces of wood like in the pic above.

I think you may have got the wrong item, shims should be very thin at one end and taper to thicker at the other.

you push them in until you have the height you want, then snap off the part sticking out

Yes there going to be like a ramp style, but in the wrapper they will form one big block, every 2 will be like a square with a diagonal line across it separating the two
