Light acclimation..

I just got my pendant in for my Solana and for the past 2 weeks have been running just a normal 24 inch fluorescent bulb on top of it. How long should my first light period be?

The only live stock I have is a Lawnmower Blenny, Maroon Clown, Coral Beauty, and a skunk cleaner shrimp.

If you have no corals, then just run it however much you want. I'd probably just do it 6-8 hours at a time when you are gonna be around to enjoy it. Mine comes on at 4pm and goes of at 10 currently.

Did you have any overheating problems with your solana? Did you use the glass top?

I had no heat issues, but Mark did. I did not run the glass top. I think his was getting sun from a window, which may have contributed.

I have heat issues, but my disco ball is 2" off of the water and I have the glass top on. So I have a chiller, I wanted more light and less evaporation, there are tradeoffs .
