Light placement?

I just switched my lights out again and my temp was up over 82 in no time at all. I just moved my 250 watt lumenmax elite from 8 inches off the water to 14 inches off the water. Will this be too far for my solana?

14" should be ok. My 400 watt is 16" above the water and Im running the ballast all the way down. All corals are just fine.
