Im going to redo my hood this weekend and i want to redo my lighting placement, they are currently in a _ | _ configuration with no reflectors.
Ive ordered some reflectors and am going to install them, but i was thinking about setting up the lights in a | | | configuration, with the ends of the bulbs pointing toward the front of the tank like the middle light now. Is this an OK configuration or should then be placed in a - - - length wise across the middle of the tank so the reflectors are blocking the lights when you open the hood? If that is the case im going to have to rethink my fan placement, as im going to have less room that way. Im not worried about seeing lights when i open the hood by rather which way the corals would benefit the most.
The reflectors are suppose to add 40% more light in the tank.

Is there a standard way to do this or pretty much whatever you want to fit your application?

Thanks for the help.

I would think left to right of the tank would make more sens...BUT, I dont usually make a lot of sense bro....
