I originally upgraded to the Radion XR15W. I wanted to buy corals so I just bought one at the time. So now it has come time for me to purchase the second fixture. While I was online about to order it, I took a look at the T5 fixtures which were basically the same price as one fixture but can cover the full 36in length. So I am thinking about switching to a 6 bulb ATI sunpower 36in T5 fixture. The question is: Who here uses t5 and what is your bulb configuration?

I do, I have an ATI 6 bulb unit, using ATI bulbs, 4 blue+, a coral+ and a purple+ (sometimes I switch the coral+ for a GE 6700). This is over my SPS tank.

Hey thanks for replying. Do you currently have an image? Are you getting great growth and color with your bulb configuration?

Dont understand "image", do you mean a picture of the light unit? Its an ATI 6 bulb unit, you can do a search but its an older unit and only T5, no LED.

A Fish tank shot so I can see the hue your combination gives and how your corals look under it.

I run ati's on both tanks (with MHs).. 2x blue+, purple+, aqua blue special+ /// 2x blue+, 2x coral+

I think you'll like going all t5

All I have right now is my iPhone and the rendition not accurate. Here are some older pics with same bulb configuration. The Monti picture is just 2 coral+ bulbs on, the acro pic is with all 6 bulbs on. Also my avatar is with all 6 bulbs on.

Thanks. I have watched those videos today. I am interested in seeing 6 bulbs combos others are running at the moment.

Correction, the monti picture is with 2 blue + bulbs on.

Ok great. I have a rainbow monti that is about 4 inches that went completely red because my radion fixture. I am hoping the t5 fixture brings the rainbow back.

How did you have your color spectrum set on the radion? I'm pretty sure that light can do just about anything, but it has to be dialed in like anything else.

I'm a 18K-20K type of guy. I had it 3in above the sand not directly under the fixture. I know it usually turns red under too much light so I moved it to more shade. It started to show some green now but it doesn't have the other colors yet.

Did you adjust the individual channels an all?

Green is usually the first color an adjusting coral will show as it transitions back. I've received plenty of brown corals by mail and green usually comes a week or two after getting them and then I start to see colors on the tips after that before the green starts to give way to the natural colors.

Yep, I use the same diagram I have been using since my first radion. The only difference are the recent led additions. I am confident it could can return back to color. I am just even more anxious to have full coverage now.
