Right now i am running a 250 watt 10k bulb on my 40 gallon corner and it about time for a new one. My question is should i stick with the same bulb or should i change. Right now i have about 70lbs of live rock 3 fish and some basic corals, mushroom rock, zoos and hammerhead coral. Any suggestions?

Double ended bulb or single ended? You running Actinics? What Halide Ballast do you have? What corals do you want to keep in the future?

(I am not lighting expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night and learned all about bulbs!)

Hands down, most things I see say that the XM 10K 250W bulb is the best bulb in a 250W. The color is more to about a 12K which is good. They Par is hands down the best. IMHO, I would stick with what you got, you can not improve much better.

its a single ended and the ballast i am running i have no idea what kind it is, it is an older one had it for a while. I would like to keep hard and soft corals. Thanks for the help.
