Lighting Recommendations

I just purchased a new 72 gallon bowfront with overflow, Pro Clear Aquatics Wet/Dry 175, uv sterilizer,etc... The protein skimmer will need to be replaced along with the lighting. I was curious if anyone had suggestions that were in a reasonable price range. The current lighting is a 48inch (garbage) basic light so im open to anything really. I will probably start the tank as a fish with reef safe and then move to a reef set up.

If starting with a FOWLR tank I would suggest upgrading the Skimmer first since you mentioned that as well. The (garbage) 48 inch light you mention is fine for Fish only. If it at least works that is.. As far as Skimmer suggestion, that depends on what type of set-up your looking for, ie. Hang on Back, in sump, external.

Probably an external, i think thats what was included but he said the pump on it was borken and yeah the light works fine so ill probably use that for the time being...
