I don’t think that’s enoughI have an Apex driven 6 foot tank with 3 old Ecotech G3Pros that need to be replaced. Any suggestions about a lighting upgrade? Would 2 G6Pros take care of the tank?
Are you growing sps, lps, or softies? That makes a difference. What would you recommend?
I would think you would 3 fixtures at that length and that set up. Any reason why upgrading when the current lights are doing okay?Great question. It is a mixed reef and I hope to get more corals in the future.
I would def say min 3. to get an even spread across that length. If you plan to add more stony corals, then I suggest maybe a 4th. That would be my thought tho.The par is only 100-150 at mid level (lights 7” above water) and one light is flickering and needs to run at 100%.
What do you have now? If 15s and going to 30s, two should be fine. If 30s going to 30s and you want more light then adding one more on a 6' tank could work depending on center bracing.I was thinking 30’s
Although the spread is good, the amount of “punch” sucks. So definitely need 3I was thinking with the wide spread of the G6Pro that I could get away with 2 Xr30’s but I made need 3.
