Lighting

Hey i came across a used lighting system (from a guy ive ordered stuff before) that hes wanting to sell. Its a Nova Extreme T5 X4. Only used for about a month because he upgraded his tank. What would you say a good price for this is? Not too sure if this is it but i think it might be. Ill find out exactly the specs to make sure later on.

Hey man I am by no means a T-5 expert but make sure that each bulb has individual reflectors, if not then your really loosing out on power. Look for something like Tek by sunlight supply or if you have a canopy make you own retro.

Yeah it would be so much easier if i had a canopy. Im gonna make sure of all the details before i buy anything. If im not mistaken i think this fixture does have reflectors.

Yeah it will have a reflector but each bulb need to have its own or atlealst contoured to each bulb. It can't have one big one for all of the bulbs. That make sense?

Thats the fixture that i have and it just has ONE reflector for all the bulbs , but I still gett some awesome growth from my sps,lps,and softies.

The single reflector thingy is only true to a certain degree.
Are you getting better par with one bulb and one molded reflector? SURE
Are you getting better par with 8 bulbs and 8 molded reflectors than one large - true too, but not in a noticeable amount, pretty sure you can measure it - but the percentage will be small.
