lights for new tank

I am currently im running 4' 4bulb t5ho on my 4' tank but im upgrading to a 6' tank and tring to decide if I I wgood ant to go with hqi,led, get a 2' t5 and put it next to my 4' or get a 72' t5. I want the best but am on a serious budget any suggestions?

Ok, right now I think Metal Halide is a good buy. You didn't say what size (how many gallons) your tank is. Look for used fixtures, there are some bargains available. 3 x 250 or 400 watt, depending on depth.

What type corals do you plan to keep?

I am upgrading to a 125gal and id like to not ha be to worry what I can have in terms of corals
 
The LED light you saw at my place is a great, cheap light that can grow anything. They run under 200 shipped. On a 6 ft tank you would need three. If that is too much I'd suggest picking up something like
