Going to be putting new bulbs in what is the difference in the Aquasun and the Actinic bulbs? Is one better than the other? Thank you.

Aquasun is a 10,000K (daylight) lamp.

Actinics are blue.

Most folks go for a 50/50 mix of both.

I usually like to alternate the two colors also. The blue light usually brings out the color of your tank, while the white gives it the "sun" effect. I made the mistake at one time by adding to much blue, and it didn't look good at all. So yeah a 50/50 mix is best.

I personally prefer a little more of a blue tint. 50/50 should be a good starting point though. The blues really bring out the color, but the daylight are what the corals use to grow.

Then what are the super Actinic. It has 4 Actinic white/ vho1 A31-42 and 4 Super Actinic VHO 1 149/89.

I can get the Aquasun by UVl half price of the UVl Actinic White. Which would you go with?

I haven't used them before. Great reviews though.
The 454 bulbs are nice as well for the actinic
