i agree but watch them if you notice something different ask again with pictures. Bryan when did you change your name?

i've heard that they might harm sps but do not take it from me i just wanted to know if anybody has read that or who knows that

Assuming they look kinda like this:

it's just an asterina star... the only time you will see them munching down on an SPS is if there is dead tissue. Starfish don't eat healthy flesh (except in some cases with other spp of starfish).
Keep them in the tank... they are a regular part of the biotope.

thats exactly what they look like thanks i guess i dont have to worry cause i dont have any sps unless some one is welling to donate just got a mh so im ready =) lol

Just saw one in my tank yesterday, and a guy in my office said he has a ton of them. Thinks they are multipling

Hello,

I think Asterina Stars are the likely candidate here. I ask Dr. Shimek about it once, you can read what he had to say http://forum.marinedepot.com/Topic61091-11-1.aspx?Highlight=asterina">here</a>.

hth,

Matt

I LMAO the other day. I saw an aution on ebay for 5 of these stars. I added it to my watch list just out of curiosity as I have hundreds in my system. Someone paid $15.00 plus $10.00 shipping for 5 stars!!! I'm a millionaire and didn't even know it!!!LOL
