Little White Bugs

Sorry for not having pictures but I am trying to identify these little fat things that are stuck on my glass, overflow, and sump. They look like maggots but dont move. Any ideas??

It might be some sort of tunicate, but without a picture it's pretty much impossible to know for sure.

I am without a digi camera right now but im for sure there not pods. They look alien, white, grub looking things. Those tunicates, are they harmful and is there a fish I can buy to eat them? They look like rice....

Could be pineapple sponges. They do look a little maggotty (is that a word?) and they obviously don't move.

They are harmless filter feeders.

they are all over the interior of my sump. I think the they will grow anywhere.
