Little White Scooting Things...

I just noticed some little whitish "bugs" that are scooting along on my glass. They are like 1mm each and there is a bunch of them. I looked up flatworm and they don't look flat. What is it?

Ohhh, ok. I have amphipods-the larger rolly poly looking things and my fish won't eat them. I have seen some dead ones floating around, and the fish will "taste" it and spit it out. I thought fish are supposed to like to eat pods-I guess my fish are weird.

Well, I can't tell because they are very tiny-1mm in size. So unless I have a super duper microscope, it is not obvious.

Yes, Pods do molt, like any other invert. The "shells" that you see floating are most likely molts and that is why the fish are not interested, they want a little meat on the bones.

I have them too. you say they are good. Please tell me what value they have. I have heard they are good in a seahorse tank.

after my fish died there was nothing..... now there are millions and millions of these little guys!!!
