I was thinking of replacing some of my live rock with new live rock. Was looking a liverocknreef. I love the real stuff they ship in from all over! But this stuff is so high!:wow2:

Where do you get yours?

I have had mine in my tank for 7 years. I recently had my tank crash. Was talking to some of the guys about maybe the rock might have gotten saturated with bad stuff? So I pulled out about 1/4 of it to let it dry out and maybe restore its self.
So was going to get new rock to replace some of it.

Whats your thoughts?

Do you have any pictures of your rock?

Yes and no. I have a picture of when it was in the tank but that won't tell you much. Best thing to do is come and pick through it. I've got 75-100 lbs.

Members selling and LFS are great if you want to pick through. I got a couple boxes from livestockusa.org and never regretted it. Great sized/shaped pieces and smelled like the fresh ocean when I opened it. Their was no place that offered Manado around here and that is what I wanted.

Usually its not the rock thats the issue after time its the sand? do you have sand or are you running without? Just a note on adding live rock back in I would dip and treat all new liverock just to make sure you don't add any pest back in.

I can vouch for Jeff, he's a good guy. Even though I can't get a frag of that Blue Acro from him ;-)

He was out as of last weekend or I would have grabbed some, but still a great guy :)

I would check out local reefers first. I have always had great results dealing with Premium aquatics when a local source cant be found.
