Live Rock?

I am picking up 20-30lbs of cured really nice live rock next monday and I am very excited about it. My problem is that the tank it is going in won't be ready for another 3-4 weeks. I was thinking about using a new rubbermade vat that I have sitting around and using it as a temp holding tank. I have a few extra MJ900s that I will use for circulation and a heater also. My question is should I run a light over the tank? I have an old 130w PC fixture sitting around. Also how long should I run them? My last questions are on up keep. Since the lr will be the only means of filtration should I be doing water changes on this setup? If so how often and how much? Thanks yall.

Thanks yall. I am glad yall are saying no lights because I plugged in my old PC fixture and both bulbs are burned out and I don't feel like spending money on PC bulbs right now.
