I broke down my 55g that I am selling to a friend and put all of the live sand into a tupperwear container and made sure it was covered in water. Is there anything else I need to do for this sand or is it going to ''die''
Depending on How deep your sand bed was, once disturbed, it is toast. I would wash it nice with some salt water and treat it as fresh sand. Though seeding will be much faster in the new setup.
