longnose hawkfish

Can these fish be kept safely with shrimp? I have read differing opinions.

They are shirmp safe. I had 2 in my tank for year till they die.

Yep I have a flame hawk and am going to get rid of him because of the same reason. Plus he ate my shrimp.

I would be VERY careful with any hawkfish and shrimp. That is a diet item of many species, and sometimes they are too tempting. Just my opinion.

longnose hawkfish are not like other hawkfish.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have read that longnose are different from other hawkfish as well. I guess you just have to keep a close eye on them.

I would disagree. I have seen longnose hawkfish eat peppermint and cleaner shrimp.
