I'm wanting two or three freshwater clams and I'm not having much luck with the local pet shops. Any help locating me a few will be appreciated...jr

Theyre commonly available at the supermarket as cherrystone clams or littleneck clams

Yup, grocery. I've found them at Publix and Whole Foods. I buy 5-6 at a time and split them down to half shells.

Cherrystones and littlenecks are both northern quahog (spelling). They are not freshwater clams. We used to dig them up all the time in the long island sound. If you put them in freshwater they will die.

That's not to say the grocers don't have them mislabeled.
