I need a chunk of LR to help get things going finally on my 93. I would like to avoid the pit-falls of the majority of nasty stuff. Can anyone help?

yes!

make sure you rock has been treated with gallons of H2O2.

then seed with stability and prime.

Yes, sand and rock was drowned repeatedly.

Did you see my other post asking about Brightwell's Microbacteria 7 Bioculture?
I did some more research on RC and it's sounds promising...ish.

If you want to avoid nasty stuff, you need to start with DEAD rock and make it live rock. Shy of that, it's a calculated risk.

Ah....no. I'm curious if anyone has a pest-free tank...if not...what's the point in trying.

haha, agreed with the above, but i read this as wanting a small piece to seed the bacteria and coriline growth...in which case id offer, but im a bit of a drive for you.

Yup, anything to help so long as it is not riddled with redbugs, nudis, aptasia, or the similar. Thanks but Stockbridge is a bit to far.
I can wait but I was hoping someone would say..."my tank has been running for two years and no outbreaks". ;)

start a wtb post for just a piece of LR.

Then you can just be selective of whom you buy from.

how big your tank, I got some matrix and a small piece of live rock you can have. My tank is 10 months old, I don't have any pest you listed.
